Meet Dr. Carson Jett
 Dr. Carson Jett grew up in Salina, Kansas and had a fondness for learning from a young age.She was fortunate to have grown up with a high school English teacher as a mother and a dentist as a father. Watching her parents build relationships with the local community and serve others helped shape her into who she is today. As a third generation dentist, Dr. Jett knew from middle school that she wanted to follow in her grandfather and father’s dentistry footsteps.Dr. Jett attended The University of Kansas, where she majored in Chemistry and minored in Business. She earned her dental education at the UMKC School of Dentistry, and through her studies and experiences, developed an interest and passion in holistic health. She recognizes and values the critical link between oral health and overall well-being, hoping to partner with her patients to positively enhance their quality of life. Actually, that is her favorite part of dentistry, seeing people commit to a more balanced and healthier lifestyle, both in oral care and comprehensive health, resulting in a transformative natural smile. After working for a year in Kansas City and visiting Austin with some friends, Dr. Jett decided she would love to make this exciting city her home. She was immediately drawn to the friendly people, warm weather, delicious food, and abundance of activities, and now can’t see herself anywhere else. This beautiful community has captured her heart. Dr. Jett is committed to expanding her overall health and dental knowledge and researching new cosmetic dentistry techniques and technology by attending a variety of continuing education courses. While living in Austin the last two years, she is thankful that she has created many professional relationships with revered dentists and specialists, learning both techniques and philosophies from each of them. Professionally, she is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Capital Area Dental Society. OUTSIDE THE OFFICEOn a personal side, Dr. Jett enjoys being outdoors, hiking and walking her dog, Georgia. She loves to cook, attend yoga classes, travel, and read. She is also trying out a little needlepoint on the encouragement of her sister-in-law. On a typical weekend, you can find her exploring a new coffee shop, at the farmers’ market, or enjoying the sunshine and swimming at one of Austin’s lovely spring fed pools. |
